About the Course

This course teaches a systematic approach to incident investigation, identification of causal factors, and implementation of corrective actions to improve HSE performance, prevent injuries, property damage and financial losses.

Via highly interactive and practical activities, participants are led through a logical process from the initial actions after an incident, to gathering data, how to analyse the data, establishing the direct and root causes, determining corrective actions, write up of a formal investigation report, to determining how to prevent a recurrence of the incident.

The course activities focus on real incident case studies from a variety of safety critical industries and provide the opportunity for participants to present actual case data from their companies for practical analysis.

Every participant will take away practical tools from this course so that they feel competent to conduct incident investigations in their own workplace.
