About the Course

NEW INSTRUCTOR - New Course Design

Maintenance Contracting, in all its forms, is today a key strategy for most operations; it is therefore a core activity for asset management, whether it is property, equipment or process plant.

With today's changing business environment, obtaining the best business value from contract relationships is crucial to the short term and long term success of most organisations.

To manage contracts today requires management to be skilled at the strategic and operational level. No longer is the contract relationship only a commercial and legal instrument that gets signed and filed, it must be understood and actively managed to release its true value.

The course will examine processes that enable the participants to measure whether value is presently being delivered and explore various forms of relationship which make possible the "best fit"
for the sites' needs.

This is very much a hands-on training course, which develops the key skills to deliver the needs for planning, negotiating and managing maintenance contracts. Many case studies will enhance and reinforce learning. A plan for the future will be developed, and models will be provided to help gain improvement back in the workplace.
